The Waltraud Field International Poetry Competition 2023
We are delighted once again to launch
this year's Open Poetry Competition
for poems on any theme.
Shortlisted entries will be judged by Paul Francis, writer of political and topical poems
Prizes: First prize £100 Second Prize £50 Third Prize £25
Closing date: 1 May 2023
Winners to be notified by September.

Competition Rules:
1. Maximum number of lines: 40
2. Poems must be the unpublished, original work of the entrant and should not be entered into any other competition or publication up to the end of the submission period.
3. Entry fee: £4 per poem or £10 for three poems. More than three poems: £3 per additional poem.
4. Each poem to be on a separate sheet with clear title. The poem must not show name, address or any other identifying marks, other than the title. Name (not nom-de-plume), address etc should be provided on the entry form below (postal entries).
5. Email entries must provide name, address, telephone, email, number of poems, poem titles and amount paid. Poems must be submitted as attachments, and not be incorporated in the email. See below re payment. Submission means that you have read and agree to the competition rules. Entries by email or by mail - not both.
6. The judge's decision is final.
7. Full copyright remains with the author. By entering this competition, you agree to the unrestricted right of Crewe & District Writers' Circle to publish the winning entries, and any highly recommended entries, on the Circle's website.
8. Please keep a copy of your work - entries cannot be returned.
9. After receipt, no amendments or corrections can be made, and no fees can be refunded.
